What We Do

Diverse Learning Environments

Education

Our goal is to provide access to education to orphans and vulnerable children (OVCs), who because of their situation have lost hope for their future. We currently offer formal primary education. It is our future vision to start offering Vocational and Technical Training and Tuition Sponsorship for higher educational levels.  This will allow UCAN to provide OVCs access to either higher education or vocational   and Technical training which will equip them with the skill sets needed in today's market place.

Our goal is to have a modern hospital that will not only serve our children but the rest of the community. Our vision is to be at the forefront in our efforts to reduce preventable childhood deaths with a focus on malaria control, maternal, newborn and child health, and nutrition. Our goal is to bring health services nearer to the people.    Ugandans still die of preventable causes such as Malaria, malnutrition, shortage of drugs and drug stock-outs in health facilities, absence of health workers, lack of medical equipment, accessibility and affordability of healthcare and overall health sector inefficiencies.  These causes can be improved upon with your donations.

With your support, our goal is to transform the way health care is delivered in Uganda’s poorest and hardest to reach communities.   UCAN’s vision is to pioneer a program that will treat children and their communities providing them with lifesaving care.

Through our Integrated Farming and Sustainability Program (IFSP), UCAN village has a vision to become self-reliant in terms of producing its own food for the primary school, technical and vocational school, and hospital campuses. The IFSP will include projects like poultry, piggery, agroforestry, fish farming, beekeeping, and dairy production.

We intend to expand, through land acquisition, to accommodate these projects.  We believe this is a step in the right direction to provide lasting solutions to donor dependency, malnutrition and poverty infestation in Kitura-Uganda
