COVID-19 Impact
When the COVID-19 pandemic was announced in Uganda in March 2020, a mandatory closure of schools followed. The education of our children at UCAN Trinity P/S was disrupted. The children spend the majority of their time at home playing, helping their parents with chores, engaged in agriculture but also spare some hours a day to study. The pandemic has impacted the education of children as they do not have access to online learning, televisions, or radios, as the school is located in a rural area. With donor assistance, "at home learning materials were purchased and distributed to the entire student body to study at home while our teachers offered target follow up.
